Technological progress within the NHS has been slow at best. Beset with issues around development and the practicalities of implementation, such as going paperless, the NHS has gradually found itself more and more behind the private sector in its use of digital technologies.
The NHS has been tasked with making £22billion in efficiency savings by 2020. Part of that includes a drive towards creating a paperless NHS. But is this possible and what does that mean in reality for clinical pharmacies?
